Based on personal accounts written by those who witnessed the Turning Point of the American Revolution, this program offers a glimpse into the details of daily life and their history-changing actions with presenter, Anne Clothier.

During this difficult time in our nation, when so many families are struggling to make ends meet, our parish and local community has once again shown what it means to be the hands and heart of Christ.
Yesterday, the Town of Clifton Park officials, Phil Barrett & Mike Traider, delivered a car load of donated food from their food drive. This is on top of the generosity of this parish as we've seen an increase in donated food items.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, prepared, and distributed food to those in need. Your generosity, compassion, and willingness to serve have brought hope and comfort to many who are feeling the weight of the current crisis.
Through your kindness, we are reminded that even in times of uncertainty, love and faith endure. May God bless each of you for your selfless service and for the light you continue to shine in our community.
The season of giving is upon us! Each year, our parish family comes together to help local families who are struggling during the holidays. Through your generosity, we’re able to bring the light of Christ into homes that might otherwise go without.
All gifts should be returned to the parish by November 30th so that volunteers have time to sort and distribute them before Christmas.
Whether you sponsor an entire family, purchase one item, or offer a donation toward a gift card, your kindness makes a real difference. Together, we can share the true spirit of Christmas—hope, love, and joy—with our neighbors in need.

TRAVEL SIZED GIFTS FOR THE ELDERLY
Our first graders will be packaging Personal Care bags for the elderly. These will be distributed through agencies around the area in time for Christmas. We will be collecting NEW UNOPENED travel-size personal care items from October 4th through November 14th.
We are in need of Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Lotion, Soap, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Mouthwash, Kleenex, and Chapstick. There will be bins in the atrium for these items. Please place the items in the appropriate bins in the atrium. Thank you for your generosity!

There will be an opening session/overview of OCIA, this Sunday, 10/12, immediately following the 11 AM Mass in classroom 3/5. All paperwork will be available for completion at this time.
OCIA, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly RCIA), is a Catholic Church process for adults to learn about and become part of the Catholic faith through study, prayer, community life, and the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The process, which begins with the phase of inquiry and continues through spiritual growth, culminates in the sacraments received during the Easter Vigil. It serves both unbaptized adults and baptized Christians (Catholic or other faiths) seeking to receive the sacraments of the Church.

TRUNK-OR-TREAT!! We invite all children to join us on Sunday, 10/26 from 12 - 2 PM for some safe and fun trick-or-treating. Grown-ups, join in the fun by decorating a table and handing out candy in the social hall.
Can’t participate and still want to support trunk-or-treat? Donations of candy are greatly appreciated. Please drop donations off at the parish office.

This weekend, we join parishes across the country in celebrating Priesthood Sunday, a special day set aside to honor the priestly vocation and the dedicated men who serve our Church. Priesthood Sunday is an opportunity to reflect on the gift of the priesthood, to thank our priests for their faithful ministry, and to pray for them as they continue to guide us in faith.
At St. Edward’s, we are especially grateful for the leadership, compassion, and spiritual care of our priests, Fr. Dan, Fr. Jim, and Fr. Pat. Their presence at the altar, in the confessional, at our hospitals, and in our community reminds us that God continues to work through them in powerful ways.
Let us take time this week to offer our personal thanks, a kind note, or, most importantly, our prayers for our priests. May God bless them abundantly in their ministry, and may He continue to raise up new vocations to serve the Church for generations to come.
