The Parish Council of St. Edward the Confessor is made up of parishioners (currently four who seek to bring to life our mission statement. The council meets every other month for regular meetings, more often for special events. For more information please contact parishcouncil@stedwardsny.org
Mission Statement
To encourage and invite parishioners to become active, vibrant members of the parish community and the community at large by fostering the development of varied activities and ministries which enhance spiritual, social and educational growth.
Council Members:

Sue Karpovich
Sue Karpovich has been a St. Edward the Confessor parishioner along with her husband and five children for 19 years, since moving to Clifton Park. She has been a catechist, active in youth activities, was on the St. Edward’s “Called to be Church” team, and is currently a lector and active with the women’s retreat team and organizing small faith sharing groups.

Joseph Berger
Joe has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years, handling cases in State and Federal Courts in the areas of employment and family law. Joe has been a member of St. Edward’s parish for 31 years. He has been a lector, a member of the choir, a cantor and an adult Faith Formation presenter. Joe ia also a graduate of the Diocesan Formation for Ministry Program (FMP). Joe’s daughter, Liz and her husband Ben now reside in Tampa, FL, while Joe’s son John is a resident of Tucson, AZ.

Richard Evans
Rich as been a member of St. Edward’s parish for over 12 years. He serves as a Eucharistic Minister and is involved in the Community Garden committee. Rich has been a member of the RCIA team for 12 years and was on the Albany Diocese ‘Called to be Church” project representing St. Edward’s. Outside of St. Edward’s, Rich has served as a member of the Boy Scout Troop 30 Committee and as a member of the SUNY Cobleskill College Foundation.

Mary Ann Sekellick
Mary Ann Sekellick has been a member of the parish for 13 years and is a life long resident of the Capital Region. She serves as one of the co-chairs of the Fair Trade ministry, is a Eucharistic Minister and has helped co-ordinate the Youth Bazaar. Mary Ann has also been involved with theCommunityGardenand the women’s retreat group as well. Currently she is enrolled in the Diocesan Kateri Institute for Lay Ministry Formation. When she is not spending time with her family there is no place she would rather be than with her St. Edward’s family.
